The Norfolk Archaeological & Historical Research Group

Norfolk's local history and archaeology club

Welcome to the website of the Norfolk Archaeological & Historical Research Group

The Newsletter

The Newsletter is published twice a year, in the spring and autumn. As well as keeping members up to date with our talks, activities and events (and those of similar organisations), each issue contains short articles dealing with the history and archaeology of Norfolk and the surrounding area, written by our own members and others, often professional historians, archaeologists or academics.

There are also book reviews and reports from other county organisations involved in our areas of interest, especially the Norfolk Historic Environment Service, the Norfolk Record Office, the Norfolk Museums Service and the Centre of East Anglian Studies, with all of which we have close links.

Articles, photographs and book reviews (or books for review) are always welcome.

Any articles or enquiries should be sent to the Editor at newsletter@nahrg.org.uk (phone and postal address are on the Contact Us page).

The newsletter was originally published as The Quarterly (ISSN 0953-1909).

For a few years, it then became The Newsletter (ISSN (1757-2290).

Since September 2012, it has been published as NAHRG News (ISSN 2051-2228).

Longer or more academic articles are published in our journal, The Annual, published at the turn of each year. More details are on The Annual page.

Links to the more recent newsletters will be added shortly. We hope to add older back numbers but these are not held electronically and will need to be scanned.
